Summer is the season of colors. In summer, any shade vibrates covering its entire color spectrum. June is the summer month I was born in a city in the former Duchy of Bukovina. Due to its multiculturalism, in which diversity and complementarity predominate, Bucovina is one-of-a-kind. Through my veins flows the blood of my ancestors and the countless nationalities that have lived in perfect harmony for so long. Today, I place the vibration of their souls on the canvas.

Education began early with grandmother Helene and grandfather Rudolf, being complemented by ancestral fairy tales and stories slowly told by the wise grandmother Aurora. The artistic side of the teachers in my family immediately led me to draw. The multiple competitions held during the horrifying communist regime in which I participated with drawings of construction sites, blocks, trucks, cranes made me taste the first artistic satisfaction.

Rock music made me vibrate as a child. For 25 years, starting with adolescence, the inner vibration spread on the rhythmic side of several rock projects, similar in style to the musical periods in which they were conceived.

Over the years this vibration has diminished in amplitude, slowly and surely moving me back to color. Electromechanical engineering at the University guided my steps in the field of pressure and gas-lift installations, a field that I still practice today and from which I earn my income to support my family.

Starting with 2013, after completing my studies at the “Ion Irimescu” Art School, I started to deepen my artistic practice. After many experiments, going through all the techniques, I decided to stop at palette knife oil painting. This technique imprints on my works a certain sculptural, masculine texture.

My paintings speak for themselves. They tell about who I am, a person who loves eternity. My pictorial states have evolved from my love for the architecture of the village frozen in time, the secular forests of Bukovina, the immensity of the Universe, to the immortalization of the tangible portions of objects, of the textures that I am fond of, such as stone, wood and metal. I do not forget, many times, to embrace the fir forests and with them in my arms, to look at the heavenly spectacle. In those moments, I close my eyes, merge with nature, become part of it – I become the bridge between heaven and earth. When I "return" to the ground, overwhelmed by the fatigue of obsolete euphoria, I fall to my knees and delicately feel with my fingers the fabric of plants, wood and stone, quietly waiting for the chromatic symbiosis.
